Blogger's sunday walk

We go along the townwall of our hometown Wernigerode.
The first sign is here, it tells about the history.

Next sign shows the way to the town and to the castle.

These signs should not be in the picture...

Now we are outside of the town and walk through the forest.
Someone males a fire in his garden...

We are happy and thankful for the autumn sun and the blue sky.

On the hill we see the castle.

Restoration works are in progress
and this sign shows the way to the entrance.

We don't go inside today,
we enjoy the view over the town.

Than we go through this little gate to our most beloved place.

We are sitting here for a while in the warm sunshine.

But the afternoon goes on and it gets cooler.

We must say Good bye to this lovely place and go home.

The signs from an old fashioned restaurant...

Now we take the street down, it's the tourist way

At the end of this nice day we are back at the townwall.
The evening comes fast...

Joining with Blogger's Sunday walk
we are greeting from Germany

  1. ...Masha, such beautiful sights! Thanks for taking me along, can we do this again?

  2. Heisann, what a wonderful walk you have had, I love the streets of your old town, and the castle makes it even more romantic. The most fantastic is your secret garden behind the little gate, with Poseidon sitting under the arch like a guardian. A beautiful sight.
Thank you for joining Blogger´s Sunday Walk, Autunm. Nice to have more bloggers from abroad. Next time will be in January, the last Sunday with snow and ice may be, Winter wonderland! Please, send me tips for the challenge ;:OD)

  5. Such a glorious walk! To walk through the town and experience all the wonderful architecture, then through the tree-lined path to your most beloved place would delight anyone's day. What a glorious sanctuary your most beloved place is. A little piece of heaven, I should think.

  6. Great images from your journey! I so enjoy old buildings and your tree-lined path make me want to take a walk :)

  7. Thank you for this beautiful walk! I have to look up your town on the map as I love to see different parts (and castles) of Germany. Maybe check the holiday flat as well... ? To look out on all the red brick roofs is like looking out on a fairy tale. Wonderful!

  8. Liebe Mascha,

  9. I hope you are well...I wanted to let you know that I have restarted Nature Notes meme....Michelle
